Text Formats

Raw Data- Counts per channel and regions of interest which can be automatically set by the analyzer (or omitted entirely if desired). These are normally very large files (>200k). Only one region of interest is shown here, formatted with several entries on a line.

Regions of Interest

(set up by analyzer to include all peaks) This file presents exactly the region of interest data included in the Raw data file above. (These too are long files, but about 800 lines shorter than the raw data because data for each channel is not included.)

Peak Report

This file has an entry for each peak located in the spectrum. The example here shows only the headings and region 6.

This is a short portion of a text file formatted NAA report which can be viewed or printed. The NAA reports include only photopeaks selected by the analyst. Order is alphabetic by element symbol.

CDL file.

This is a short portion of the comma and " delimited flat text file which can be imported to most database or spreadsheet programs. Fields are separated by commas, and text is enclosed in "". It includes the same information shown immediately above, but the heading information is repeated at the beginning of each line. The lines are wider than the screen for most viewers, so each line is broken and a blank line is placed before each entry to show the extent of each data line.
